Olympia Fine Art & Antiques Fair

Very busy this week preparing for the , Olympia International Summer Antiques and Fine Art Fair. I have some superb items ready for the fair and I really am  sure that if you can spare the time to come and say hello in London you will agree with me.

Tickets were sent out two weeks ago but if they haven’t arrived please do let me know and I will either send e tickets or have some waiting at the door of Olympia for you.

My website is more or less up to date but I will have a few items at the fair that are not on the website.

Hopefuly the weather will improve in time for the fair but even if it doesn’t at least there will be lots of beautiful things to look at !

Summer Olympia June 6-16 2013

 

June Olympia International Fine Arts and Antiques Fair  is coming up very quickly – preview day is 6th June. For those of you who haven’t yet received one – an eticket is available for download on the fairs page of the website simply print off the ticket.and number is E53 and I will be in my usual position.

I have just returned from a buying trip and provided my shipper brings it all in time, will have many new items for the fair.

Summer Antiques and Fine Art Fair at Olympia is one of the best Antiques fairs in the UK. The attached eticket admits holders to the preview evening and the fair is open every day until 16th June.

It really would be lovely to see you and if you do come to the fair please come and say hello

 

Antiques For Everyone April

In the midst of all this snowy weather, Antiques for Everyone ,will be held on 4th – 7th April at the NEC in Birmingham. It is really worth while making the effort to get there as there will be so many wonderful antiques of all shapes and sizes there.

First fair of the year – Mere Golf resort

My first fair of the year will be at the Mere Golf Resort and Spa at Mere Near Knutsford from 25-27 January 2013.

I will be showing a many items of glass for the first time, including a superb pate de verre piece by ,Gabriel Argy-Rousseau and a number of fine pieces by, Emile Gallé,

Daum Fréres and, Muller Fréres.

Items of sculpture being shown for the first time include stunning ivory figures by, Ludwig Walther, and ,Ferdinand Preiss. The fair is open from 11am to 6pm on Friday and 10.30 to 6pm on Saturday and 10.30 to 5 pm on Sunday. PLease contact me if you would like a complimentary ticket

New stock for the New Year

I know everyone is very busy with Christmas and the holidays. I too have been busy shopping and many new items of stock will be added over the next few weeks.

I have ivories by ,Ferdinand Preiss, Demetre Chiparus and ,Ludwig Walther, together with some items of glass including ,Daum, and ,Gallé.

I will be exhibiting at the ADFL fair at Mere Golf Resort and Spa at Mere Cheshire from 25-27 January 2013. Please contact me for tickets.

New stock items

I have been busy buying lots of new items and they are being loaded on to the website over the next few days.

Pictured is a tall Ombrelles vase by ,Le Verre Francais, for , Charles Schneider.

Also added is a really unusual piece by ,Emile Galle. A shallow freeform dish with cameo to 2 sides. The design is thistles. Made about 1904 it is also signed with the Galle star mourning signature.

Decorative Arts prices reach new highs at Christies this week

Prices for decorative arts reached new highs this week at the Christies sale – property of a nobleman. Prices for, Majorelle, and ,Galle, furniture were very high . Prices for, Daum and Galle glass were amazing. A similar Daum coupe to item 327 on my site on sale at £2250 made over £5000.

Foreign buyers seemed to be making the strongest bids .

New items

This piece is one of many items that I will be showing at, Olympia , for the first time. It is an unusual bronze sculpture of a Dryad by and English lady sculptor about 1910., Hester Wood , who sculpted this piece worked between 1910 and 1920 and is known to have exhibited at the Royal Academy during this time.

This piece along with one other by the same artist will be on show next week in London on my stand F9

Olympia Winter Fine Art and Antiques Fair

On Monday12 November this year’s,Winter Fine Art and Antiques Fair, opens at 4pm for the Collectors Preview.

I will be there on stand F9 and really look forward to welcoming you to see our new stock. I have spent the last few months trying to find interesting, quality antiques and I hope you will come along and if nothing else just say hello. Its always nice to see a friendly face when you are so far from home.
