Gustav Adolf Daumiller (born November 10, 1876 in Memmingen Died 16 January 1962 in Munich)
German sculptor and medallist. Daumiller was born the fourth of ten children. In 1898 he began studying at the Design Academy in Hanau and then from 1900 to the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich. In the years 1902 to 1904 he continued his education in London and then studied from 1904 to 1905 at the Academie Julian in Paris and from 1905 to 1907 at the city's Ecole des Beaux-Arts.
From 1908 he worked in Munich with Adolf von Hildebrand. From 1909 he was regularly represented at the art exhibitions in Paris and Munich. In addition sculptures Daumiller also produced memorials, medals and plaques. In the 1930’s he created sculptures, which were implemented by the company in Rosenthal porcelain. He was a member of the Munich Artists' Association. In Memmingen a street has been named after the sculptor.
He created designs for sculptures, which were made by Rosenthal in porcelain. The Swimmer Model number 1615, Art Department, Selb Kunstabteilung factory, designed by Daumiller in 1936.
